6 Months!!! Where does the time go?

I can not believe that Hannah will be 6 months old on Wednesday! It's so crazy. I really don't know how that happened. This month has been great. She's grown up so much this month. It is amazing to watch her learning and growing more and more every day, and she has made lots of strides this month in her physical abilities. The biggest change this month is definitely her eating ability. We started with rice cereal on Christmas, and she took to eating like a fish to the water. She absolutely LOVES to eat. It is her favorite part of the day and she gives me pouty faces all day until I give her food. Her favorite so far, I think, is pears which were the first food we gave her. Until tonight, I would have said that she's liked everything we've given her, but she just proved me wrong. She HATED the squash we tried to give her tonight. It was really funny. I wish I had a picture, but of course she stopped doing it as soon as I got out the camera. Also, she liked bananas, but unfortunately she got her Dad's slight allergy to them. She was super unhappy for a day after we gave it to her. It was so sad. So far, she's had pears, peaches, bananas, carrots, and squash.

Hannah is getting very close to being able to sit up by herself. In fact, she's perfectly capable of sitting by herself, she just has trouble staying focused enough to stay there. She's such a busy little girl! It is extremely rare for her to just sit back and relax. In fact, I'm pretty sure the only time she does so is when she's nursing and sleeping. In addition to learning how to sit by herself, she's been working hard on learning to crawl. She's not as close to mastering this as she is with sitting, but she's a lot closer than she was last month. She's getting up on her arms and rocking a little, but she's not quite able to get back on her knees yet.

Hannah is such a happy little baby. It makes life so fun. She does have bad days just like any baby, but they are thankfully the exception and not the rule. There are a million other little things I could talk about. I love her so much. Being a mom is such a blessing and it's so much fun. It's a lot of hard work, too, but it's totally worth it, and seeing this sweet smile every day makes all of the not so wonderful parts (like puke and poopy diapers) seem to disappear.
