Halloween

I was very impressed by how adventurous Hannah was this year. She has always been super shy (and still is at times) but she was all about trick or treating. She even talked to people, which like, NEVER happens. We have family members that she will barely talk to. We forced Clara into her costume, and as soon as she forgot she was wearing it, she had the time of her life. She loved being able to walk all over the neighborhood, and she wasn't afraid of any of the decorations. There was this skull thing that lit up and made noises that she was obsessed with. The family was cracking up because they had had all sorts of older kids and teenagers come by and be completely terrified by it, but Clara wanted to take it home with her. Crazy girl.

Princess Sofia

This was about two seconds before Clara ran into this person's house and I had to run in after her. No fear, man.

Trunk or treating

A couple of days before Halloween, our church did trunk or treating in the parking lot of the church. It was fun to see all of the kids and some of the families all dressed up. It was made a little extra fun because we had relatives in town from Ireland. Hannah was determined to be "Coronation Anna" from the movie Frozen, and I have to say she was pretty adorable. We got Clara a "Sofia the First" dress, but we were unable to get her into on this night.

Anna twins. Too cute. This is her friend, Shelby.

pumpkins

This year I finally got around to taking my kids to a pumpkin patch. It wasn't the most awesome patch in the world, but it was a good size for the kids. We got a hay ride, Hannah got her face painted, we saw some animals, and Clara spent the whole time going from gourd to gourd shouting "pumpkin!!!" excitedly at each and every one. Too funny. I also did a fall craft with the kids. This is huge. I kind of hate doing arts and crafts stuff, but it was really simple. I gave them each a pumpkin and some paint and let them go crazy. They both loved it, and Hannah was so mad when I had to take hers down to make way for Christmas decorations.
