Strollers and towers

I got a double stroller for my birthday. We've needed one really badly since Clara was born, and I'm so happy to have it! We got a Sit-and-stand, which means that the back seat can come out and there is a bench seat underneath, so if you have a big kid, they can get up and down by themselves easily. I though this would be awesome for Hannah since she loves the zoo so much. But she is OBSESSED with the seat the way it is. We tried to take the seat out and she had a hissy fit. She loves to lay down in it, and then she refuses to get out. Ugh. So goofy.

My kids love to build towers. Hannah got a set of duplo blocks last year for Christmas, but it hasn't been until the last several months that she really got into it. Which is kind of unfortunate considering that Clara is now big enough to crawl over and destroy whatever it is Hannah is building.... Sigh.

Emily's Birthday

My niece turned 1 the day after Halloween. Hannah was very excited to go see her and to sing Happy Birthday to her (although I don't think she ever actually did). Emily started walking not too long ago and so it was fun to watch her toddling around and interacting with Hannah more.
                                                                Presents!!!

Hannah had to try out the hoop to make sure it worked right.

                                                             Little run away!!!

They did the whole "cake smash" thing. It was kind of out of control.

Happy birthday, Emily!!!!

Halloween

On Halloween we went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. We weren't sure how it was going to go at first- Hannah refused to put her costume on and Clara fell asleep- but Hannah did really good and Clara woke up about halfway through. We got some good candy, too, so I'd say it was a success.

The dogs were Hannah's favorite part.

Happy Halloween!

Rapunzel and princess Leia

Best. Picture. Ever.

This one's pretty awesome, too.

Trunk-or-treat

Our ward did their Halloween activity the day before Halloween, and it was combined with the other ward that meets in our building. Unfortunately, it was raining that day, so we had to do it inside. There were a billion people there. The halls were packed, the cultural hall was packed, basically it was a giant can of sardines. Hannah, as you may know, is extremely shy and does not do well with loud noises. So.... she didn't really like it. We did some trick-or-treating and tried to go into the cultural hall to play some games, but Hannah ended up finding a quiet corner to hide in. Clara on the other hand, loved all of the activity and was mad at us when we left.

Curious George

Hannah LOVES Curious George. Until recently, it was her favorite show. It's be dethroned by Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, but that's beside the point. She loves the show and she really loves to read books about George. So when we saw that our local children's museum was going to have a Curious George exhibit, we knew we had to go. I could tell it was going to be a little above her level, but I also knew she would like looking at everything and seeing her favorite characters. Both Grandmas really wanted to go with us, so we all packed in the van and went together.

The nice George- Hannah wouldn't go anywhere near the guy in the George suit.

Just chillin' with her best bud, George.

Clara on the other hand, loved this guy. Even though he's creepy.

After the George exhibit, where Hannah made out like a bandit with the books, we went to some of the other exhibits.

                                     Learning to ride a horse.

Classic.
