Singing in the rain, part II

One day a couple of months ago, I can't for the life of me remember when... we were in the car and it was raining really hard. When I got Hannah out of the van, she ran straight out into the rain before I could stop her. She drenched the dress she was wearing, so I took it off and went to get my camera (my mother-in-law was with it, so I didn't leave her alone. Just to clarify). She had so much fun!

Hannah loves to help cook. She always wants to be a part of whatever's going on in the kitchen, so my mom finally got a step stool for her. She loves it. Her favorite thing in the world- well, one of them anyway- is to stir food. It's really cute. The problem is that she thinks she needs to stir forever and that the food is hers and hers alone. She throws a huge fit every time we try to take away the food and actually, you know, BAKE it. Heaven forbid! Oh well. She's still cute. Even when she's not.

More glamor shots

I just can't resist taking pictures of my cute little Clara! She's so pretty! I really wish I'd had my awesome camera back when Hannah was a newborn. I would have such better pictures. But oh well. I have it now and I get to take lots of good pictures. Clara was so pretty in her dress one Sunday, I just had to do a mini photo shoot. Personally, I think they turned out great! And I love that you can really see the beautiful, deep blue color of her eyes.

Family Pictures

On Memorial day, I asked my sister-in-law's mom, Jan, to take some family pictures for me. It was a little stressful trying to get my girls (especially Hannah) to cooperate. There's not really any great pictures of either of them, but there are some decent ones, at least. My niece Emily, on the other hand, was absolutely adorable and just smiled the whole time. Overall, I'm happy with how they turned out and I'm glad we did it.

Time seems to be flying so much faster with Clara than it did with Hannah. Clara is already smiling a ton and she started laughing this week. To me, it seemed like this was sooner than it was with Hannah. But when I looked back at my blog, I realized that she's the exact same age Hannah was when she started laughing. The difference is that Hannah did it once and then didn't laugh again for weeks, whereas Clara has laughed several times in the last week or so. She is a very smiley girl. She smiles all the time and it's super adorable. She opens her mouth all the way in a crooked smile that lights up her whole face. She's been better than Hannah about performing for the camera. These videos are all cute, but the last one is the best. We actually got her to laugh for the camera. We just can't get enough of this little cutie!

Clara's Blessing

We blessed Clara in church on June 2nd. She was really good and didn't cry at all. She didn't even need her pacifier. Apparently she spent the whole time staring at her uncles. Dan blessed her with health and strength, that her heart and mind will be open to the promptings of the Spirit, and that she will know the Savior's love and have it to guide her through her life. He also blessed her that she will be an influence and an example to those around her and that she will have the faith to obey the Lord's commandments.

Clara's first bath

So I'm a little behind on blogging, These are like a month and a half old, but oh well. My Mom and Hannah were super excited to help me with Clara's first bath. She seems to like baths, for now at least. Don't mind the yellow eyes. She was still jaundiced but it finally went away.
