New Year's Eve Part 1- Uncle Curt
Hannah LOVES her Uncle Curt. Oh, man. She has stopped asking for him as much lately because she's now so obsessed with her new cousin, but for a while there she asked for him every day. Of course, like with my sister-in-law, I think this has something to do with the fact that he has the easiest name to say. On a side note, Hannah can say the names of all of her cousins, except the ones in Ireland. She says Abby, Izzy, and Ella perfectly while Brigham is "Abiggy", the Emilys are "Amiyee" and Emery is "Aminee." Anyway, for New Year's Eve we had all of Dan's family over for dinner. It was a crazy mad house, but it was fun. And Hannah did all she could to keep Curt's attention on her.

Emily's baptism
My newest niece is 3 months old already!! It's crazy how time flies. While my Dad was here for Christmas, my brother and sister-in-law had her baptized in the Catholic church. It was a great day filled with good food and company. I wish I'd gotten more pictures, but oh well.

Children's Museum
While my Dad and Steve were here, we took Hannah to the Fort Worth children's museum. I've only taken her once before, and it was before she learned to walk, so it was a whole new experience for us and I'm so glad we did it and that my Dad was able to come with us. Hannah is still too young for a lot of the exhibits, but there is a whole section devoted to toddlers and preschool aged kids, and she absolutely loved it. I can't wait to go back again!
There was a room filled with animals, which she really liked. Her favorite thing was this goat- probably because he was down on her level. Her reaction was pretty priceless. She was even brave enough to touch it, but don't tell anyone. I didn't know she wasn't supposed to. Oh well.

Christmas Day
We spent most of Christmas day at my brother's house. My dad and Steve flew in that morning and were there in time for an early dinner. Hannah, Dan, my Dad, and Steve all got to see my new niece, Emily, for the first time. Hannah was instantly obsessed. She LOVES Emily. She asks for Emily every day; multiple times. And every baby she sees that's smaller than her in Emily. She also fell in love with my sister-in-law Trish. I think this is funny because she sees Trish the least of all her aunts- well, the ones that live in America anyway- and yet she is the only one whose name Hannah has learned. Of course, she also has the easiest name to learn, but still. She also asks for Trish every day now.
It had been raining hard all morning, and as we were getting ready to eat, we happened to look out the window to discover:
It was snowing!!! Yay! Snow on Christmas?? In Texas? Sweet! The forecast had said that we might have some flurries, so we were pretty excited to see this much coming down, but had no real expectations. So we ate and opened presents.
And then we looked outside, and boy were we surprised!
It was a winter wonderland!! Well, by Texas standards, anyway, so of course we had to send Hannah out into it, even though we were not really equipped for winter weather..
Then we went in to warm up and spend a few more minutes before heading home on the already icy roads to try to beat the setting sun. It was a great day!
