My little Babushka

Dan is so silly and is always doing crazy things to try and annoy me or Hannah, or both, so one night he tied his bandana on her head. She actually didn't mind that much, which I'm sure was irritating to Dan, but it was so cute! And she loved looking at herself in the mirror- well, she does that anyway, but you know what I mean.

Swimming part 2

Grandma Whitworth got a kiddie pool for her back yard and so we had to try it out. It was a little too bright out, but luckily her cousin Isabelle had left some sunglasses that we borrowed. Stylish, don't you think?

This is my new favorite picture of Hannah. What a face!!

Book worm

My child is totally obsessed with books. She loves any book she sees, whether it's a hymn book, a magazine, or her book, she doesn't care. She will sit and look at it and flip the pages and "tell" you what it says. It's so cute. I love that she loves them and hopefully that's something that will stay the same as she grows up.

One night, Dan was trying to put her in her pajamas, but she was much more interested in her books. She managed to roll away, grab a book, and roll herself onto the pillow to read.

family gathering

A few weeks ago, my sister-in-law, Christy, moved to Ireland to be with her husband and 3 stepdaughters who had moved back to Ireland several months ago. We're really happy that they're back together, but we're going to miss Christy. Hannah absolutely loves her and I know that if she was older she would have been pretty upset about the whole thing. Anyway, a few days before she left, we got the whole family together, including Dan's Grandma, to say goodbye and take some family pictures.

This is Emery. Isn't she cute?
Emery's twin sister Ella- also excessively cute.
And Manly Man Brigham, saving his cousins from evil bugs with his trusty fly swatter.

This is Emily. She's 5 months old, which is crazy. Where did the time go?

Swimming

Although you may not be able to tell from these pictures, Hannah LOVES swimming. Pretty much anything to do with the water she's totally up for. The pool in our neighborhood opened a couple weeks ago and we've gone a few times, as well as swimming at my sister-in-law's parents' house on Memorial day. She is so funny. She kicks and kicks and totally thinks that she's getting herself somewhere. She gets mad when you stop pulling her and she realizes that all her kicking isn't actually doing anything. I haven't been able to get any pics of her swimming yet, partly because I'm a bum and partly because I'm usually in the water with her and don't think about it, but here she is in her swim suit. She was upset at the time because her Grandma was not picking her up...

house warming

So a few weeks ago we had most of Dan's family over for dinner to see our new house. I was sad that things didn't work out for everyone to come, but glad at the same time because Dan's family is huge and it was a mad house anyway. But it was a lot of fun and I got a ton of cute pictures of the crazy little kids. Hannah's cousin Brigham cracks me up because he loves Hannah so much and is constantly all over her giving hugs and kisses. It's so cute!

                                                   So loving. Hahahahaha.
Emily having fun on the swing. She's so cute. I can't believe how big she is.

10 months

As I sit here, listening to Hannah scream bloody murder instead of taking her nap, it's a little hard to concentrate and think of things I want to write. This month she has gotten a third tooth- one of her two front ones, the other one is being stubborn- and had an ear infection that sent us to the doctor. She's been on antibiotics for a week and is doing much better, but her fever was pretty high there for a couple of days. We also finally got a high chair. We'd been using her bumbo for feedings, but she had gotten too big for it so we lent it to her cousin Emily and got a high chair. It is so much easier to feed her in something she can't roll out of! And she likes it a lot better, too. She is a really good eater, but she's gotten to the point where she prefers grown up food to baby food, well... she thinks she does, anyway. She always wants what we're eating, but she can't always swallow it and ends up spitting it out. Hannah LOVES music and loves to dance. It is so much fun to watch her. She loves getting chased around the house by her dad, and especially loves reading books with him before bed. Her favorite book is "Llama llama Red Pajama." She's a very happy child most of the time and we love her so much!
