Emily!!

Today my newest niece was born. Emily Whitworth is a beautiful 7 pounds 4 ounces and 20 inches long. She has lots of pretty strawberry blonde hair and looks a lot like her mom. The doctors were prepared for a difficult ride today, but thankfully none of their concerns came to fruition. Both Lacey and Emily are happy and healthy.  Hannah didn't know what to think of Emily at first, but after a little while she warmed up and actually started trying to touch Emily-which of course we didn't let her do. She had fun hanging out at the hospital and meeting her newest cousin.

playing with the cousins

One of the things Hannah loves about the Johnny jump up is that she can play with her cousins on their level without any help. And the cousins loved it too. Even Ella and Emery, who aren't usually very interested in Hannah, were going up to her and interacting. Isabelle, once again, wanted to play with Hannah most of the day. It's so cute. I hope that as they grow up the two of them will continue to love each other as much as they do now.

Johnny jump up

My mother-in-law has had a johnny jump up for years- ever since her first grandchild was a baby. The previous 5 grandbabies have all hated it, well at least until they were too big for it anyway. But when Cheri asked me about it, I KNEW Hannah was going to LOVE it. And I was absolutely right. It is absolutely her favorite toy in the entire universe. She loves being able to "walk" and jump and move all around on her own power. She spins and jumps and walks and swings and smiles and smiles and smiles. It is so awesome and sweet. I love watching her in it. I may be slightly prejudiced, but I just think she's the cutest little girl I ever saw!!

Stock yards

While they were here, I took my dad and Steve to the stock yards here in Fort Worth. It was a gorgeous day. I think it was about 65 degrees and sunny. We had a lot of fun shopping and even got to see the cattle drive, which wasn't really as exciting as it sounded. Hannah missed the cows because she fell asleep about 5 minutes before it started. She had a great time and completely wore herself out, as you can see.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from Hannah and her fan club (AKA me and Dan)!! We hope you all have a wonderful year!

Visit from Grandpa

My dad and his partner Steve came the week after Christmas for a visit. It was so fun for him to spend time with Hannah since she was only 6 weeks old the last time he was here. She has so much more personality now and totally wrapped both of them around her little finger.
