Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's house!

Hannah had a very eventful day today! Dan and I went to my in-laws to help with a couple of projects before we went to our ward's fall carnival. While we were there, Hannah got in the swing and tried out a rocking horse for the first time. She liked the swing, except for the sun being in her eyes. And she LOVED the horse. She sat on it all by herself! I was so amazed. She's crazy strong.

I love the look she's giving Dan in this picture. She's like, "why are you trying to help me, Daddy??"

Kissing Cousins

Yesterday Hannah and I were at my in-laws with two of her cousins, Abby and Brigham. Abby's 4 and Brigham's 2, and they have a little sister on the way, who should be making an appearance sometime in the beginning of January. They both love Hannah.  They are always curious about what she's doing and trying to help me with her. They're both excited about their new little sister, and I think they're using Hannah to practice. They were hilarious yesterday. Brigham wanted to hug her and kiss her ALL day long, and might have if we'd let him. She liked it at first, but after 5 or 10 minutes of being kissed all over, she was over it. There were a few times when Hannah was making noise, trying to talk to Brigham, but he didn't want to listen to it. He just kept shoving her pacifier in her mouth. Hahaha. She wasn't very impressed with that, since she was in the middle of telling him a very long story. Abby has always been very inquisitive and always asks me questions about Hannah. She asked my what Hannah eats, and when I told her she eats breastmilk, her face was priceless. It's so fun having all of our nieces and our one (so far) nephew live so close and to be able to see them grow up. I'm glad Hannah will grow up with them and hopefully they'll all continue to be close friends.

Bath time

Hannah LOVES the water!! Last night we took her to Grandma and Grandpa Whitworth's hot tub and she had so much fun. Hopefully I'll be able to get some pictures up of that soon. But the night before, we had her in the bath and took these awesome pictures. She smiles and kicks and splashes, and I pretty much have to drag her out, since she just wants to stay in all night. It reminds me of myself when I was a kid. I used to stay in the bath pretending to be a mermaid until the water was cold and my mom forced me out. Like mother like daughter, I guess.

After her bath, she decided to hang out and read with Daddy.

Snuggle Bug

So for the last few days, Hannah has been crankier than usual. Partly due to tummy troubles and partly due to the fact that she has started teething. (Yikes!!!) I'm not excited about this development at all. I've heard so many horror stories. And most babies don't start until 3 months, but as has been her M.O. so far, she just does what she wants when she wants and doesn't care whether or not she's "old enough." Oh well. I knew it was coming at some point, so I'll deal with it. Anyway, because she hasn't been feeling good, she's been more snuggly and has finally discovered the joys of stuffed animals, not to mention her elephant teether.

Two months!

Hannah is two months old! It's kind of crazy. At her doctor's appointment, she weighed 13 pounds and was 24 inches long, which are both in the 95th percentile. She's grown up so much. She loves to read and play in her jungle. She loves to stand up and look around at everything. She is super talkative and strong. She smiles a lot. She sleeps through the night every night now. Last night she slept for 9 hours. She sleeps in her crib at night, but during the day will only sleep on "her big bed," meaning our bed. She LOVES Daddy, and has him completely wrapped around her little finger, although he still tries to deny it. She's starting to learn to reach and grab for things. She still loves her froggie pacifier. We have a normal one that she'll take sometimes, but most of the time she just wants the frog, and will cry and cry until she gets it, at which time she immediately calms down, is happy, and usually falls asleep. She is a super happy baby and really only cries when she has a dirty diaper, is hungry or tired, or has an upset tummy. She is so much fun.

Reading to Daddy

Dan loves to read to Hannah, and she loves it too. They love her monster book and read it all the time. Hannah even knows it by heart, and she'll "read" it to Dan. It's so funny. Her favorite part is the Roar. It always makes her smile and she roars with it sometimes too.
